I got some orders on sewed knit purses, so I've had my hands full sewing lately. Its fun to experiment and mix and match fabrics. I love the Shabby chic style! I went to my local fabric shop today and got some new fabrics. I'll sew some more knit pures this weekend I think I think :)

Apart from this, my daughter and I went to a 'Juletrefest', a christmas party, yesterday. She wanted to wear her Norwegian folk dress, and I think she lookes so cute in it. The movie below shows her dancing around the christmas three...even though she's more interested in my camera. What is momy filming right now..hmmm..lol

Shabby chic handbag

I'm really crazy about stitcheries now days...and have combined a stitchery and patchwork on this handbag. The handbag has a pocket in the front, and 5 inside for my mobils, ipod, keys etc. I'm going to make a similar large tote. When I pick up my daughter at kindergarden she always brings so much stuff and drawings with her, so now the car is filled with STUFF that soesn't make it to the house.

I'll also make some smaller ones to give away to her friends birthdays. I think they will ook cute and personal if I add their names to them. On of my new years resolutions is to not buy any gifts this year. I find my daughters room filled with plastic toys, they break easily and they are no fun! Sooo..a small handbag and crochet amigurumi will do the trick instead, at least for her girlfriends :)

Stitcheries

I've signed up for the Stitch 2008 along, Since I haven't tried this out before, I did a test block with an angel - Love is spread on angels wings. So after finishing this I finally dared to do the january block of the stitch along. It says ' To må man være'...which is Norwegian for 'Two makes a pair'. It's quite nice I think, even though the bees and the birds looks a bit funny. There will be 12 blocks in the along, one each month. I want to sew them all, and maybe make a large quilt out of them, which'll be my first quilt ever!!!! Today T made a Hello Kitty block, that I'll quilt and make into a ballet bag for my beautiful daughter :)

Happy new year!!!! I have had a great Christmas Holiday and New Years Celebration!!! We went to the mountains for a couple of days, and did some skiing. My daughter even got to try out some slalom. It was so much fun!!!

And here she is skiing...it was so much fun watching her.

New Years Eve...nothing is like a big bundle of fireworks...even though it was a bit scary for some..lol

I even got around to doing some knitting. A stitching bitch hat for men. I really liked the way it turned out. And last, but not least...the felted Hello Kitty mittens, which are the second pattern in the Hello Kitty Mystery kal.

It's Christmas Eve...meaning the Hello Kitty Mystery kal has finally started. Since this is a mystery kal, the participants will receive one pattern at a time, receiving the next pattern as they go. As you can see, the first items are a felted crochet headband for grown ups, and a knitted hat for kids. I made a blue flower first, but I just had to rip it off and replace it with a pink one.

Apart from this, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope to see you all in 2008 :)

Busy bee

I've been quite busy these last couple of days. I've finished off some Christmas pressies, mainly hats and felted mittens for friends and family. Here are the crochet Japanese hats (have made loads of them now) I made for two friends, and a little baby.

I also made felted mittens for hmmm and hmmm. The heart ones was my favourite, its fun to just try different stuff while you go. The mittens are my design :)

Last night (stayed up faaaar to late) I sew two purses for my knitting and crochet projects. I always have at least 10 projects to work on at a time, and I hate to store and bringing them around in plastic bags. I look like a real bag lady...I tell you! But now I will sew lots and lots of these purses and put away each project neatly in its own bag :)

Stitch 2008

Some of the 'ladies' over at hobbyboden has planned a Stitchery along for 2008. There will be a block to make every month, starting of course - in January 2008. I have just recently brushed the dust off my sewing machine, and started to sew again. I have also admired LOTS and LOTS of the nice stitchery made by bloggers, but I have never ever tried to do a stitchery myself. However, Miss Oslofia is not afraid of trying something new...so I will join up on the fun. The January motif is really cute, and 12 different designers will post a different design each month.

I actually did some stitching las night, which somebody...not naming names here...suggested to be coasters :)

Hello Kitty Winter Mama is done!!!!

The grown up set for the Hello Kitty Mystery kal is finally done...pjuh! I've used the same colours as for the kids set, white, red orange and pink. This is also a 3 piece set (I'm a bit like rainman...have to work stuff in uneven numbers....lol).

Now I have to write down everything nicely...which usually is a nightmare. This time around I tried to write down everything on my computer as I went along, but like any new year resolution...it went straight down the drain!

3 weddings and a funeral...

...not really, but we have went to a wedding, christamas preparation party, and the theatre in the last couple of days. Our friends Kai and Carolina got married last week, so we had to go and throw some rice on them. My daughter thought that it was so boring in the back with me so she went up to the best man (our friend Arvind) and got a better view during the cermony :)

My baby has baked gingerbread, made a Christmas stocking and santa clause and mrs santa clause. The gingerbreads went down before we got a chance to take pictures, they were soooo good!

We also went and saw a play called 'reisen til julestjernen', and old Norwegian Christmas story about a princess that are looking for the christmas star. I've been seeing the movie every christmas since I was a child, so its so fun to see it with my daughter. This time we saw the play, where the story was a bit different. However, my baby was enjoying herself, and asking when she could patricipate in a play. They had kids in the play aswell, and their sewn outfits were so nice and winterish...giving me an idea of knitting something similar with really bulky wool. I think that will be my Christmas project. I'm thinking of making a dress, a sweater, leggings and a hat. The clothes will be white and light grey, with a bright red hat to top it. I made a sketch of it, I suck at drawing...I know!!!!

Santa Lucia

My daughter had a Santa Lucia celebration at her kindergarden yesterday. It's her that 'dances' in the middle. The kids had baked ginger cookies and Lussekatter (Lucia buns), and the parents got glue wine to go with the cookies. It was really cold outside, but it was worth beeing a bit cold and just watch the kids when they came out to sing for us :)

I tried not to use pink...but sorry guys, the first blue flower I tried just didn't give me any LOVE so I had to take it off and make some pink flower power instead. I dont know why I even bothered to try something else than pink..which surely is my thang...lol

I've posted a shopping list over at Ravelry.

Now I just have to do the finishing on the crochet grown up set, and I'll post the shopping list for that set in a day or two...probably two :)

SnB Knitting cafe

I went to my first knitting cafe tonight, with ladies from Hobbyboden crafts community. It was really fun to see some of the crafters IRL, to chat and to drink coffee and doing some crochetting. I started on a new project today, the Cloud bolero. It's a really fast knit, but with the lace and all (involves to much thinking for my little brain) I decided not to bring it to the knit cafe.

I started on a new crochet 'japanese' hat instead, which is a really easy and quick project to make. I finished it off when I got home...I just couldn't go to sleep before the rose was done! It's for my SIL, and I hope she'll like it :)

Decorating for Christmas

Well...Christmas arrived early to our house this year. My brother has been visiting us for a couple of days so I put him to work this evening putting up our x-mas tree. My baby went bananas with the decoration, and we had a great time decorating the tree and drinking glu wine.

My baby got to put the star on the top...like she always does. She also insisted on wearing her Princess dress while decorating :)

I really liked the way my japanese crochet hat turned out so I just had to make another one. I added a pink border on it, and a pretty rose with green petals. I planned on giving this one away for x-mas...but I think I'll keep it my self!!!! The black felted are for my friend Sandra.

We went to an Advent party last night. The kids were having a ball, and my baby could finally wear her new Christmas outfit. I thought she looked like Cinderella, and she thought she looked like 'Guldtopp', a Norwegian fairytale princess :)

I also made a crochet hat after a Japanese pattern. It was fun to try the pattern out, coz I didn't know the gauge, yarn or which hook to use. The hat fitted me perfectly! I also added a rose to add something extra! I made it during an episode of my fav show, Midsomer Murders. I think I'll make some more as x-mas pressies. I'll also make one for my baby...even though she didn't want to have the same colour as me?!? She wanted a red one???

Advent calendar

I finally managed to finish of my baby's advent calendar last night...at 3 am. I had to sew the dress, make the face, wrap up the presents, and sew on the zillion metal rings for the presents. Well actually, the 24 rings felt like a zillion rings at 2 am :)

Well...it looks like someone was happy this morning. She's so cute...she believed that Santa had delivered it during the night when she was asleep. Her mother has been going on and on about it...so she still believes in Santa :)

The santa is really big, more than 1 meter tall!!! I've sewn the Santa along with the clothes, and knitted the hat, scarf and socks.

I've had a great weekend. Haven't done much aside relaxing, crocheting and knitting. I'm still working on the mystery items for the Hello KittyMystery kal, but needed to do something else. So I've made a Hello Kitty and Mimi amigurumi's, a cupcake amigurumi, and some felted mittens.

Hello Kitty Mystery Kal

There will be another Hello Kitty kal shortly...a mystery one!!! I will host it, and I've made a blog for it here.

I had a 3 h roadtrip today....in snowy weather....so obviously I had some time to think of something to make for the knitalong. The items will be a secret until Christmas eve...but here comes the 'themes' so far. At least they will give you some hints on what types of designs that are coming :)

Hello Kitty Knit/crochet along???

I have finally gotten access to Ravelry!!!! And guess what...there was a Hello Kitty group there that I just had to join...lol

I've hosted two HK kals earlier, a winter and a summer kal, and I think that its about time I have another one. I posted this on the group site over at Ravelry, so I'm thinking a kal exclusively for us in this group could be fun.

I have loads of ideas, could be knitting or crochet, for a child or hmmm...grown up. Could be handbag, accessories?!? It could even be like one of those mysterious kals..where you dont even know what the finished item is. It could be a felted item now that winter is here...at least for us Vikings!

I would love to get some inputs and ideas for items to make...anything...well almost...is doable!!!

Oslofia's Patterns Shop

Yup...I've finally managed to get online with some of my patterns. Check it out over at Oslofias's Patterns.

I've been working on slippers lately, so now I have to get it all down in writing. I've designed some crochet Mary Jane's, or ballet slippers as my daughter calls them. She's been dancing all around the house wearing hers, and here you can see her dancing outside when I tried to take some nice pictures of the slippers :)

Here's both of the Mary Jane's, and me showing off my pair. They are crochetted with bulky weight wool...so they are quick to make. You can easily make at least one pair in one evening. The blue slipper has big roses attached to them. I quite like the mix with between the blue and the white wool. I hope to have the patterns ready by the end of this upcoming week. They would make great Christmas gifts. I'm making a pair for my best friends birthday. Hope she is not reading this blog entry :)

Halloween and fabric grocery bag

Wow...what a combination showing of both my Halloween pics and then my newest project..the fabric grocery bag!!! Anyways, my daughter and I went to two Halloween parties last Saturday. What a day we had! My baby was an English princess, or Swedish. She couldn't make up her mind. She sat the and did the pearls on her forhead the evening before. She was so cute with the make-up an all.

The kids party was a blast. The kids run around and had such a great time. They got spiders (meatballs with legs) with green mashed potatoes for lunch, some nice blood (ketchup) to go with the spiders, and green poison lemonade. I had a little go at the lunch as well...and it was great :)

Well..some couple of hours later...much later, we were dancing on the sofa, the chairs...just about everywhere where we were not supposed to dance. It was a great party, I had so much fun :)

Lastly, the darn fabric grocery bag I just had to make today. I've seen them around on the Internet, and I've been meaning to make one for some time now. I was thinking about making some for my babys grandmother for Xmas, with her picture on of course. So last night I woke up at 3 am...and I couldn'r get that %¤%&# bag out of my head. I was awake for two hours, so today I just had to make one. I used a plastic one as 'pattern', so mine is exactly the same as the ones I buy everyday when grocery shopping. I ironed on my babe's pretty face. The outcome was...ehhh...ok. I guess that grandma will love one of these??? Maybe you will see a picture of me using this one...its good for the old planet we live on :)

New handbags

I've sewn some new handbags, 4 of them to be exact :) I haven't sewn in such a long time so it was really fun to start sewing again. This first one is my favourite. It has a japanese styled kitty attached to the front. Ive put them out for sale in my etsy shop.

And then these pink and white ones. I always end up with these colours. Pictures is taken by my mums new man (he's the best). They came to visit my daughter and me yesterday, and they're staying until Monday. Its great to have them over...my mum takes completely charge and serves me/us dinner and all sorts of goodies!!!!

The weather was so nice today. I cant believe that its winter already?!? And the last one is also pink, with a pink heart attached to it. I wonder when I will take out my black fabric or yarn? Hmmm...not for a while I think!!!

Secret Pal

Look what I just got from my secret pal over at Hobbyboden. The package consisted of yarn, buttons, napkins, some disney stickers and an angel iron-on patch. The person who sent this hasn't revealed herself. But after some clues in her handmade card I think I know who it is. I think that it is Elin, which by the way has the coolest avatar in this crafts community.

I absolutely LOVE the stuff i received, and my daughter loved the stickers and the patch. I guess we have to sew something up real quick so she can iron on the angle.

Sunday!

It's been a relaxing Sunday. We took our time this morning. Had a nice bath, and some friends over for breakfast. After brekkie we went to the playground with the kids, and feed the birds. That is always good fun.

We went to a second hand shop yesterday, 5 minutes before it closed. This is what I managed to pick up in a hurry!!! It's a hand emroderied picture of a Norwegian cabin. I love it, but I don't know where to put it? It's more suited for a cabin or something my mother would put on the wall :)

I also bought fabric and some old sewing and looming supplies. I also found an old wooden swifter. I've put ot out for sale in my etsy shop. I'm thinking xmas gifts to make with my baby. Cant wait to start to make christmas stuff with her.

Wool longies

I finally managed to finish off the woolen logies last night. I'm really happy about it, because I thought that I wouldn't finish this project. It was soooo boring knitting them, but they will sure keep my baby nice and warm this upcoming winter. Soooo...now I'm casting on for a matching Cinderella sweater. This sweater has fun-fur on it. I kind of hate that...but my baby loves it so what else can I do?!?

I knitted the Hello Kitty sweater 2 years ago. Wow...I really knitted that one a bit big. It finally suits her perfectly now when she is 4 years old :)

Etsy shop

I've made some pink felted mittens. They are looking for a new home, and up for sale in my etsy shop. They were so much fun making, probably because they knit up very quickly. I can't take projects that takes too long a time to make :)

This is another mitten to show the difference before and after the felting process. It's HUGE!!!

I found this swifter in a second hand shop last week. It's beautiful, old and hardly used. It's also the old Scandinavian model that has unfinished wood. I just couldn't leave it..I had to buy it even if I have one just alike. This baby is also for sale in my etsy shop.

Flea market

We've had a great day today. We went to this huge flea market today, and we bought lots of stuff. The coolest thing we got was this old loom for kids (vev). The loom is from the seventies and looks just like the one I had when I was a kid.

I also bought a hand embroided picture to hang on the wall, and some old fabrics. I'll use the fabric for needle cases and to make toys for xmas.

We went straight to a yarn shop after the flee market. Smilla just had to have some yarn. The first yarn that we have bought just for her. She picked out some white/silver fury yarn, pink and green. What a day...mother and daughter yarn shopping together for the very first time :)

She picked up the looming (veving) straight away - and she is only 4 years old. I'm so proud!!!!

I ended up getting some yarn for me as well...hmmm...even if I don't really need it. I'm going to felt something.

The felting project turned out to be mittens. Really quick to knit with the bulky yarn i got today. It will be fun to see how it turns out after the washing process.

Socktoberfest

I joined Socktoberfest last week. It's a kal where we make socks all through october. I started on some drops stockings for me last night, and finished the first one. I hope to finish off the second one tonight.

The sock have a crohet border along the top, quite nice I think.

This is Bambi on ice trying on the sock :)I'm still kniting on my baby's wool longies. The picture is taking with a mobile camera so it doesn't really show the colour of the longies very good. They are actually quite bright pink (as most of her clothes..lol)

Went to my lys yesterday and got some pink wool for my mini's socks. I'll make her socks for Soctoberfest also.

And I managed to do some more shopping yesterday. I bought a silver tray and a silver cup, both with ornaments....I just love the Shaby chich style :)

Autumn 2007

Autumn is here, and I've started some new projects. I haven't done any crafts in such a long time so I'm really excited about getting back to business. I've just received this pattern booklet with Cinderella, Snowhite and Ariel sweaters and skirts. My baby has just turned 4, so the Disney princesses are her favourite :)

I've started on a woolen longie for her, and they are going to be pink...of course!!!! They are knitted from the top to bottom, so its easy to get the desired lenght.

I've also started on some slippers...getting ready for the winter you see :)

I think I made the squares wrong, but I guess they will still keep my feet warm this upcoming winter even if the squares will look a bit funny!!!! They are super big, and to be felted whenever I get the urge to finish off the last squares.

Last, but not least, I've started on a grandma quilt that will most probably never gonna be finished. I'm not sure about the square, it has a Daisy in it, with 'loose' petals hanging around. I don't know if this will look nice if it getts finished. Maybe it will look nicer with the petals crocheted into the actual square???

I was thinking either just pink squares, or maybe pink and the blue, as the yarn laying next to it.

Butterfly set

Here's a butterfly set I have designed. The belt and handbag is knitted with a novelty yarn that has different shades of blue and green in it. I've put it up for sale in my etsy shop.

I've finally managed to set up my etsy shop again...

...filled with knitted and crocheted stuff that I've made. Things like the Rose trio and the snuttis scarf that I've gotten published in crochetme.

This is the snow set...consists of headband, shawl and wristwarmers. The set is made of bulky weight wool so it its a fast project...just the way I like it :)

We've celebrated xmas in oslo with my family. Smilla got tons of presents...so we will have trouble finsinf space for all the new toys when we go back to Sweden.

Winter

Wow...I cannot believe that winter is here. My baby and I've have had a great summer, actually it has been the warmest summer for over 100 years!!! On top of that the autumn has also been really warm and nice.

I haven't done much crafts the past year, but my note book is full of new ideas and designs. However, my latest design got accepted for the winter issue of Crochetme, I'm soooo exited. I did the photos last weekend, in Oslo's most beautiful park, the Vigelands Park :)

Apart from that I've just started a new job, working as a HR Manager for a recruitment agency. I love my job, its really exciting and a big challenge for me!!!!

Summer holiday - Oslo 2006

I've just spent two weeks in Oslo with my baby. We've had a great time visiting our family and friends.

Smilla, Kristoffer and I out on the Oslo fjord. The weather has been great this summet so we are not complaining!!!!!

Smilla, me and my girlfriends sons. They wanted to put their toes in the fontaine water. It took 2 minutes and they were soaking wet! I had to dry them up in no time before my friend came back. That's the last time I'm in charge of looking after their kids...lol.

We did some old fashion sightseeing in my home town. Went to the harbor castle, and got some Japanese tourists to take a pic of us. We also did a treasure hunt together with the boys :)

My beeeeest friend Nettis and her youngest. We went to this camping site for the day with the kids. Did some bathing and had a lovely bbq!!!

My godson Andreas and Smilla. She is just utterly totally crazy in love with this guy. He's 12....and my 3 year old just adores the gound he threads on. She wanted to play with him every day....and he was soooo tired of entertaining her...lol

Summer

The summer has finally hit us up here in Sweden! So here we are at the beach making the most of it :)

My mini is learning a new trade, she's gonna become a make-up artist...lol. No, she got the doll on Monday when she quit using her pacifier. The doll was fun for 5 minutes, then she wanted to trade it back for the pacifier. She's been without her 'napp' for 2 days now, that's my little baby for you :)

Hello Kitty sweater

I'm embarrassed to share this, but I went to see the first Swedish soccer game in the World Cup, on the International Knitting day?!? And I even forgot to bring my latest project...I'm so sorry!!! Oh well, I might bring it to the park today...the weather is great :)

A little Swedish football hooligan...lol. Not a chance, this guy wants to become a police officer when he grows up. When my mini tells him that he's her prince he says...noooo...I'm a police!!!

His parents...I think that someone has gotten one drink to many...lol. I, however, was the designated driver...which I must admit is not a frequent happening :)

I went to my first swedish graduation party yesterday. It was good fun, and a great party :)

First we went and saw the parade, which ended up in the park. All parents had like big posters of their students from when they were kids. Then everybody hung 'stuff' on them, like champagne bottles, flowers, teddybears and so on.

My baby and her best friend Noa. They were so cute, untill they started to get bored. Smilla ended up sitting in the beercooler, meaning she got soaking wet...lol.

Today we've been celebrating Sweden's national day, and here's my mini wearing her Sweden outfit. We went to this Viking marketplace, and we even saw a tournament with knights on horses. It was good fun, and the weather was lovely!!!!

This is her 'Norwegian outfit'...need I say that this is my favourite :)

We had a bbq on Saturday, and Smilla baked a pie for her and Noa using her kitchen stuff. It was sour, so she hated it...lol. She will be turning 3 shortly, but I've given her the pressies already. I just couldn't help myself when I found this playhouse to have in the garden. She even got some matching chairs and table, so now we're having 'picnics', as she calls it, every day.

Here's me doing some adjustments on my Norwegian bunad. After 12 years, its finally done! I'll wear it in Oslo/Norway on our national day the 17'th of May...cant wait!!! It's such a great day....and I'm so excited to finally be able to bring my daughter to see what the day is really all about :)

My babe and I have just arrived back home after a weeks vacation in Oslo. Pjuh...time really flies. I just realized that I haven't been posting anything since January??? Oh well, due to this I gave myself a BIG kick in the a**, and I decided to not only post this on my blog, but also to go to my LYS for some new yarn...and new ideas for something to make this weekend!

I got a nice e-mail from Monica the other day, who hosts a Hello Kitty kal at the moment. I joined up on her kal some time ago, but I had completely forgotten all about in. So now I need to come up with something to make for this kal! I also have a little 'project' going on with Wendy, that has been put aside due to a lot of DRAMA this last couple of weeks. I will not bore you with any details, not until my besty Nettan decides to write the Memoares of Miss Oslofia...It will be a bestseller...I tell you...LOL

Here's my babe and I at a 'ski cabin'.... I haven't been skiing at all this winter...but I will come back stronger in this department next winter...LOL.

Snöfnugg - Snowflake set

Here's the Snöfnugg set (snowflake set), which is a set Nunnun and I designed and submitted for the winter issue of knitty.com. Unfortunately we didn't get accepted.

Anyways, the hat, handbag and gloves are designed by Nunnun (modelling her stuff over to the left).

I designed the sweater and legwarmers. The sweater is a modern version of the old Norwegian Lusekofte, meaning lice sweater. I used thicker yarn, a modern color and a thight fit to give it a modern twist :)

Here's a close-up of the sweater. The pattern will be sold in my patternshop soon.

Happy New Year!!!!

Anyways....I've just started a new knitting project, first in 4 months!!!! I'm making legwarmers for me (black...depressing color I know), but I plan on knitting'em up in no-time so that I can get started on my next Hello Kitty project for my daughter. I can't wait to get started, coz I haven't been near any needles or hooks in such a loooong time!!!! Anyways, I plan on knitting a HK hoddie....with my kool-aid colored yarn. If I don't end up at my LYS getting something else...lol

Then I wanted to share pictures of all the nice pressies my secret autumn pal Fiona over at Crochetville has sent my daughter and me. I'm absolutely stunned...she has been the best secret pal ever. She has spoiled us rotten, and now my daughter thinks that America is a very lovely place...with very giving people...lol. Fiona has been a GREAT pal and support, as she has followed me and my life's ups and down for many months now. It has been great to share with someone I didn't really know, especially since we got such a great connection from the start. So Fiona...thanks a bunch...you're the best!!!!!!!

Apart from that, I'm leaving with my babe for London/England tomorrow for a week. We're going to the funeral of my fathers godmother. It is sad circumstances, but it will be very nice to seeing my fathers family again. I haven't been there for almost 3 year, and they have never meet my child. We're staying with my cousin and his family. He has 2 girls aged 1 & 3, so it will be fun for my babe....especially since she doesn't speak English. I better teach her the basic ones...like MINE, NO & CANDY...these are her fav words so far =)

Things are really 'cooking in my kitchen' at the moment! I'm re-opening my pattern shop on Friday the 30'th of September, and people over at Aeolidia are doing the web design for me. The design and layout are looking great so far!

I have new designs lined up, and I'm putting togheter some special offers for the grand opening. Ohhh....I'm so excited!!!!!

Fire station

We visited the local fire station this weekend....and the first thing we did was to go for a ride. My babe loved it...Especially when the sirens came on =)

They even had free...I'm telling you FREE 'fika' for everyone. That means coffee'n cakes, hotdogs and soft drinks for the kiddies + Oslofia. Yep, I had to have some too..lol. Ohhh...can that be a crochet poncho...made by me?

Next stunt was the evacuation of this guy in a burning 'house'. Ohhh...so exciting...Especially the orange clothed men...lol.

Sunday we went to my babe's cousin...and here they are dressed up as princesses =)

My last package to my secret pal over at Crochetville. I made her a headband and wristwarmers, a hook case, stitchmarkers, and then I got her son some candy and drawing stuff. I'm soooo into hearts these days....can you tell? All items are my own designs, and this handbag, my Pink Dream, is crochet with my kool-aid yarn, and the felted heart has beads sewn on to it. The handles are vintage made of wood, I found them in my fav second hand shop last winter. I absolutely LOVE this handbag...so I'm not sure how long this little babe is staying in my shop =)

Another felted beaded heart, that can be sewn or pinned on to 'whatever'...made of Swedish wool...but off course =)

Felted rose, goes well with 'whatever' also...lol

A crochet/knitted necklace...with beads of course. Not only do I have a big crush on hearts these days....but I've also fallen for beads =)

Or why not use it as a 'belt'.....

Same goes for this little number. The photos aren't that great...so I'm shooting new ones tomorrow at daylight. Okay..this upcoming weekend I'll have to get finished on the 'little' project I have going on with Anna. Because I'm dedicating next weekend to another project I have going on with Hart....so I'll have to hide my kool-aid yarn...because they are haunting me right now...so I can get finished with the stuff I've started with these two 'ladies' =)

Hart, over at Life on the far side drew me this beautiful fairy. It pictures me so well...because this is what I would look like if I were a fairy (minus a couple of kilos that is)...lol . We had a great day today. There were lots of activities going on...first my babe went pony riding for the first time. I'm soooo proud of her...she was a natural =)

Then we went on a train ride around the park. Here's my friend Sandra and her son Noa. He is to marry my babe in ...let me see...20 years...lol

The fathers...really enjoying the ride!!

Ohhhh...my hero. This guy was amazing riding that bike. On top of that...he didn't look to bad either...lol

Loooong day...my babe fell asleep the moment we started to walk home.

So with her sleeping in the backyard...I used the time to wind up my Kool-aid yarn.

My bf came home today...after beeing away for a week. When he put our babe to bed after dinner...I got straight down to business with my quilted squares for the Quilts for Katrina. I enjoyed a glas of red wine while sewing =)

And guess who couldn't sleep???? Oh yes...I can hear the snoring of the person that did fall asleep...and her's my babe and I playing with the fabric..she does look a bit tired..dont she =)

I got a package from my SP over at Crochetville today. My daughter kidnapped the package the moment we found it! It contained a HUGE skein of beautiful blue novelty yarn, it was 300 gr in just that one skein! Then it was lotsof nice patterns, and the two showing in the picture are something I'm deffinately going to make. Then it was pink beads, and some other blue and white beads, a lipstick (now in my daughters handbag...lol), a nice card and some American candy. We eate the candy straight away....so thats history now...lol . Thank you soooo much Secret Pal =)

Ok, my new American candy favourite are those fish cheesie crackers - Goldfish...yum!

I've been home with my babe for two days now, she got hurt in her arm in kindergarten on Monday. So..to entertain her and myself...we did some kool-aid coloring on some yarn. I got the kool-aid from Chiecrochetcrazy, and it was fun to try it out =)

I did two shades of pink, they turned out the same. I did orange, red, blue, green and yellow. The yellow didn't come out nice, so I'll color it again another day. Is this yarn skreaming Hello Kitty or what? Yes, I'll make my babe a new kool-aid colored Hello Kitty sweater for the upcoming winter. Whatever leftover yarn will become a HK dress for her 1 year old cousin =)

We had some little crafty bonding time last night...the bf and I. He was going away for a week, and he hadn't exactly planned his trip. So, yesterday we went shopping...that's a totally different story that I'm not going to tell anything about, but anyways...he had to sew buttons on to two pair of pants. OMG...he was so mad at me when I refused to do it...but I had better things to do...like my crocheting and stuff....lol. So I handed over needles and thread...so he had to do it himself. Well, after some &%ÃÂ¤ÃÂ¤ and complaining, he managed to do it. It was good fun watching though =)

My babe got a new motor driven car today. She loves it totally, and now she's refusing to come inside the house. And its waaaay past her bedtime =)

We went to Astrid Lindgrens world this weekend. She's a famous Swedish author of childrens books..such as Pippi Longstocking and more. We wemt along with my daughters 3 cousins, so she had a great time! Here we are trying out Per Pyssling's funiture...he was a mini character in one of her books.

Here's Pippi Longstocking, together with my little babe in the orange tee in the back. She loves Pippi, especially when they did their little numbers singing and dancing =)

We had to stock up on some Pippi stuff...like a pippi mini suitcase, pippi cd holder, two pippi puzzles, and Emil's myssa & byssa (last meaning Emil's caps and rifle).

Here are the goodies that I bought when I was on vacation in Norway. My best friend gave me the wool that's in the three plastic bags...approx. 60 skeins of offwhite, black and green 'Mor Aase'. I'm going to make a white lusekofte for my babe. This is what all Norwegians wear in the wintertime =)

I even got around to sort out all my old yarns, at the last day of my vacation. This is all my woolen and cotton yarn before I put them awayNICELY...

I have even gotten myself a new sewing machine...yiiippii. I haven't had the time to try it yet....but I'm all set the day I get the urge to sew something. Its a beautiful and sexySwedishh sewingmachine, Husquarna =)

Ohhh...can this be? Miss Oslofia has finally gotten full overview over all her yarn?!?

All my yarns are now stored nicely in the basement. However, did I get enough yarn whilst going to Norway. Noooo, a friend bought me some more yarn today (for my secret designs...lol) ...so hopefully I'll get it in time for the weekend. 1) Hvor mange bøker eier du? Jeg har mange böker, men de fleste er nedpakket i kjelleren og venter nå på at jeg skal kjöpe en ny bokhylle så de får komme opp i lyset igjen. Jeg elsker böker, men min lesetid har blitt kraftig redusert etter at jeg fikk barn.

Look what the mailman brought home to me yesterday!!!! I received a HUGE package from my friend Alisha, that lives in the US. Both my daughter and me was screaming and jumping around when we opened the box...I'm not telling you which one of us that did most of the jumping around...lol. Thank you Alisha, this really made my week =)

LOOOOOOK!!!! Alisha had sent kollaid to last me a lifetime, or at least for lasting the year, in all flavors...meaning beautiful colors!!! Then it was a crocheted octopus, kitty book, a perfectly fitted top for my babe (LOVED IT), and a the great finale...Hello Kitty funbooks and stickers.

Please meet Crochet Mad

She's my secret pal from the Crochetville autumn swap. She has sent me lotsof emails, and a few ecards. She is a really fun person, but she is also very stubborn...because she REFUSES to tell me where she's from, but my last bet is USA =)

Anyways...the swap is really soo much fun...so I think I'll have to e-mail and TORNMENT the person I'm sending gifts to...lol

This evening I started to design some items for my secret pal...but then I changed my mind. I completed 2/3 of it, and now I just e-mailed the Editor at Crochet me and asked if she would publish it in the october/november issue. The've published me once...so we'll see if they will do it again. Anyways, I guess that I'll have to come up with something new quick, if they do decide to publish it. Sorry secret pal....this idea truly came into my head while I was thinking of you!!! I must dedicate the name of the design to you...lol.

The last two weeks....holiday!!!

My little babe and I went to Norway for a weeks holiday, and we really had a great time. First stop was Oslo, and a nice lunch with some friends.

Adter lunch, we went to my mum, or mommo as my babe calls her. I stayed the night....before heading down to Oslo on Friday, to meet up with my friends. Oh...notice the poncho...its another FO I managed to get done during my vacation. Well, the only FO =)

We went out partying both friday and saturday night. Pjuuhhh...not really good for a lady my age...lol. Below is a picture of my BEST friend Annett. She is also my daughters god mother.

Back home! My goddaughter came home with us, she is 17 years old...and such a cutie =) We had an Aussy bbq for our friends so that she wouldnt get bored =)

The kids are waiting for the food! The rain started the minute the first guests arrived...so we had to move everything inside the house. Not fun when we were 12 adults, 4 kids and some babies!!! Pretty crowded!!!

Last day of my vacation!!!! We went down to the park by the sea...and had a great time playing with my babe's best friend Noa.

It started out to be a capplet kinda shawl, but when I was fastening off all loose ends I figured out that it could be used as a scarf and a skirt too =) It is crochetted with mohair wool, and I made it during just a couple of evenings. This has been a buissy weekend...as always! We went to a 30's party...everybody is turning 30 this year...and this is Billy birthdayboy pouring up the champagne =)

Mr Oslofia and our little mini having a toast for the birthday boy...off course they had to have some 'champagne'...

The party was held at Billy's family's summerhouse. It was so beautiful out there, having a private beach as well right in front of the house. My little buissy bee and me had to play down by the water. Off course, she had to walk into the water getting her shoes soaking wet!!!!

Today I started to renovate the playroom...while mr mr was sleeping off the whiskey he consumed last night! I guess that I'm a better knitter/crochetter than I am at painting. I got paint freaking everywere now, I even got it in my eye! Oh well, I hope the palish limegreen will turn out nice, since I had to paint her bedroom twice before I got the pink ok!!!

The last 1 1/2 week have been buissy!!! We've been to a 2 years birthdayparty, and a 30 + 30 birthdaysparty, a couple of bbq's and then we got a bunch of old friends over that we meet whilst studying in Australia.

My baby even got her hair cutted for the very first time, when we went to a bbq over at one of her kindergarden friends =)

My babe is ready for the beach...she even has her, well my, car keyes...lol. She is also wearing her favourite pink plastic princess shoes that are a couple of sizes to big for her...cant leave house without them!!!

Chihuahua sweaters

Here are my first knitted Chihuahua sweaters. I've designed them, and it has been so much fun making them. They were fast knits, and that is always a good thing!!!! Some of the patterns are available at oslofia.com.

The body's are knitted, and they have intarsia, embroidery and some crochetted details on them. Since I dont have a dog, or know any one that does, I'm sending them off to Alisha that lives in the US. She has promised to let her cute little Bella model them, so I'm really looking forward to seeing her wearing my sweaters. They will be 'late' birthday pressies for her since she just turned 3 =)

Today, when we got back from the beach it was a BIG package waiting for Smilla in our mailbox. She got so excited when I told her that it was a birthday pressie. It was from Laurence that lives in France =)

Even the envolope was cute...see the little Hello Kitty there!!!!

Smilla got a cute pink doll, a card and Hello Kitty socks. Laurence is as crazy for HK as I am, so its nice to see that others share my affection for the little kitty. You can check out her blog at Hello Kitty Creativity.

Smilla loved the doll, and she had to put on her new HK socks straight away before she could go and have her nap. I'll hang the doll up in Smilla's newly renovated room...I'll post pictures of that later =)

Laurence, thank you for sending such nice gifts to Smilla...it was so nice of you. I think that there will be a little something something going to France as well in the near future!!! I hope your holliday has been god...I start mine on Friday...yiiipppiii!!!!!

Hello Kitty dog sweater - Knitted

My bf thinks that I've gone overboard now....after I knitted up this dog sweater for the dog that we don't have. Neither do we know any one that has such a dog. But anyways, if I feel like making a Chihuahua dog sweater.....that is what I have to do. Honey, I promise to knit a couple of rows on you sweater some other day...you know the sweater I started 3 years ago...haha

The pictures are shot with my mobile so they are blurry. I've lost my digital camera charger, but I'm hoping the new one I ordered today will come tomorrow. That's the second one I have to buy this year....arggh! That's how it is when Miss Oslofia is moving all the time =)

This was a fun project to make, and really quick to make as I designed and made it all today. I've also made a crochet pattern that I want to try out as well, but that one will have to wait until next week I'm afraid. Oh well, I need to go Chihuahua 'hunting' now...it would be fun to see the sweater on a real dog, and not just one of my daughters stuffed soft animals =)

Amigurumi Along - Hello Kitty

I joined the Amigurumi Along today...and I had to start on my first project as soon as I was signed up. I took the picture with my mobile, so it is a bit blury. Anyways, the result was yet another Hello Kitty thingy...no I mean Amigurumi, and she ended up being about 8 cm / 3 inches in lenght. I think that I'll put her on my handbag strap...far away from my 2 year old bulldozer. I think that it could be really cute to make it with thinner yarn and smaller hook, and turn this little baby into a little mobile charm.

I want to make more of these cute small Amigurumi dolls. I think that Keroppi is up next =)

My best friend - Nettan =)

Oh, I have had the best weekend ever! My best friend Nettan came over, and she is a Swedish girl I meet while I studied in Australia. She didn't go home like I did, so now she lives in our old city with her new Australian boyfriend. I cried my eyes out when she came, and I did the same when she left. I LOVE her dearly, and i cant understand how I'm gonna survive another 1-2 years before I get to see her again!! Anyways, we went to Gothenburg to a fair, and this is us at the Floom Rider just before the thingy goes downhill.

Here's Nettan and her bf Brad, and of course Smilla. Smilla fell in love with Bläh straight away. She couldn't say Brad, so it came out as Bläh (means yuck in Swedish) =)

The girls are down in Gothenburg. We did some shopping, and had a lovely lunch.

Nettan got the same clogs as I have, so now we're gonna think of eachother every time we put them on. And yes, she is soo tiny...its me that looks like bigfoot =)

My baby did the rabbit boat tour, and just had to have the matching ears. She also won some pink plastic princess shoes...she's literally not leaving house without them, even though they are 4 sizes to big for her =)

Last day...having lunch at the park. Ohh...I need to stop buying yarn, and save some money for an Australia trip!!! It would be soo cool to take Smilla there, and to see my old neigbourhood =)

Okay...and then some bragging!!!! I'm getting published...yiiipppiii!!!! Look out for the new August issue of Crochet Me. They are publishing the hmhmhm and the hmhmhm that I've designed.

Our Midsummer

We celebrated Midsummer last Friday with our friends. We were 20 grownups, 10 kids and 2 babies. The start off was going to the local park for some 'fika' (cakes'n coofee) and the traditional dancing. They has the midsummer pole, pony riding, games for the children, and a band singing all the traditional midsummer songs. Smilla wanted to ride the pony, but when it was her turn she refused to. She thought that mum could do it instead. Yeah right...me on a little pony =)

The Swedes LOVES to celebrate this day. The custom is to eat herring and potatoes, have lots of snaps, and dance around a midsummer pole. The dance is called 'små grodorna', which means little frogs. All Swedes sings the song and jumps around the midsummer pole as small frogs. It is hillarious to see grown up men dancing this silly dance =)

Oh...not to forget my latest FO! It's a shawl knitted with mohair yarn. I was supposed to wear it on midsummer evening, but I didn't have the time to finish it off until midsummerday. Oh well, It's nice and warm for cold evening..so I'll have more use for it this summer.

The pattern was free at Garnstudio. This site offers lots of free patterns, but most in the Scandinavian languages. This company has some of the best Scandinavian designs...and they are quite fast to put out their patterns as freebies =)

I cannot believe it. I've actually managed to finish up my shrug and crochet top!?! I did knit when we went to the rock festival, as it was a good 4-5 hour drive. I also got some mum-quality time when i stayed in Stockholm for 4 days. Staying at the hotel meant noooo housework...just poking around with MY stuff =)

The pink top I crocheted following a portugese pattern. It had some charts, and then I just had to be a bit creative since I couldn't read the instructions =)

I made the shrug with wool...what was I thinking??? It is finally summer, and we actually have 25 degrees here at the moment?!? Anyways, I'm gonna color it with some cool-aid, so that will be fun. I really like the shrug so I'm going to knit another one in cotton.

We had a lovely birthday party for Smilla...and the weather was beautiful. We ended up beeing 17 grown ups, 9 kids and 2 babies. She got lots of nice pressies. Now she wants to celebrate her birthday every day...lol. I didn't get to take a lotof pictures...but her she is wrapping out presents as a maniac =)

Of course I had to make her a Hello Kitty cake. It is a 3 layered cake, and I had strawberries and banana in it. It was easy to make, and I did not say any bad words whilst making it. Yeah right! No, I was a bit stressed out so I even forgot to put milk in the cupcakes I made. But I have understanding friends, they said they tasted real'nice. Liars =)

Sweden Rock Festival

On our way to Bleking (south of Sweden) to the music festival. And guess what...mummy forgot her handbag in the backseat with Smilla. Driving down there was no problem, but suddenly it got very quite in the backseat. We thought that she was sleeping, so we stopped at McDonalds to grab some coffee. By the look at this picture, you can see what she was doing. She had mascara all over her face, and she had even 'painted' her hands with it. I was really embaressed when I had to go into McDonalds her on my arm. Not to mention that I just bought the mascara that same day!!! But look at her...who can stay angry with such a cutie for more than 10 seconds? I know I cant =)

Having a barbeque..the Scandinavian way. That means rain...and to cover up the grill with a huge umbrella...haha

We had a lovely time in Blekinge. We stayed there for two days with some of our friends. Walking around the camp area was fun, but unfortunately we didn't get a hold of any tickets. So we had to do some free-riding standing outside the fences =)

This is one of the cabins we hired...a good old time Swedish 'Torp', which originally was a small farm that people rented from the big rich landlords in the old times.

Secret Nordic Pal

This was the gift I sent to my secret pal 4, Ulla. I designed the handbag myself, and it is crocheted with thick cotton yarn. I've gotten to know Ulla over the internet, so it was really fun to make something for her. She lives in the north of Sweden, so hopefully this will bring some summer spirit to her should it snow during summertime =)

This was the 4'th gift I got in the Secret Nordic Pal round. I got it from Torill, a Norwegian girl. She had made me a 'thingy' to have my crochet hooks in, and some candy and beeds for my little babe. Check out Torill's blog, she has made LOTSOF nice things!!!

The fun thing was that I was checking out her blog about a week before I got my presents, and I was especially admiring the needle 'storage' things she had made. I could not believe my eyes when I opened my gift and realised that I was getting that same thing!?! Well, all my hooks does now have a nice storage, and it is always in my handbag in case I should get the urge to crochet =)

These are my next projects. I'm going away for the weekend on a music festival in the south of Sweden. It will take a good 5 h drive to get there, so I'll try to get started on the crochet top. The pattern is in Portugese, so I hope I can figure it out. But hey, after I managed to crochet using a Chinese pattern I guess it will be like a walk in the park..lol. I got some...surprise...pink cotton for this one =)

I'm almost done with the shoulder 'thingy', I just need to do the edgings. I'm using offwhite wool, but I'll try to make another one in cotton if it comes out nice. The plan is to dye it using some cool-aid after it is knitted up.

I'm going to Stockholm on Sunday for another 3 days course. I plan on visiting NOBODY! It will be a little vacation for me now...I mean to stay in a hotel. No cooking, no cleaning up...just me, the tv and my crafts =)

This is the latest picture taken of my little cutie...the photographer was a bit scary so she was a bit shy =)

Anyways, I've been away for over a week now. First the trip to Stockholm and then Smilla was sick for two days. On top of that, we decided to move to our new house, which we did on saturday. So yesterday I/we celebrated my 29'th birthday (actually 35...but don't tell anyone) and mothersday. I got lots of nice pressies, pants, shorts, a top and some earingrings...and of course breakfast served by my bf and Smilla =)

This is a front picture of our new house. It's built in 1970, but it is in good condition. We've started to renovate two bedrooms, before we'll tackle the backyard. We're gonna make a huge patio...so that I'll have a nice place to relaxe and do my knitting. Yeah..right! There will be no rest'n play this summer, but instead we'll get a really nice house =)

Smilla running up her new street! She will also get a new friend, who lives in the house next to us. I hope they'll get along. Oh...I almost forgot...she has braides for the very first time in this picture. She calles them for Pippi Longstocking braides =)

Here's Smilla and I at the local market. I wanted to get her a pink pony baloon, but dad insisted on getting her something less pink!!! Whats up with pink??? He has a real problem with my favourite colour?!? Anuways...I have put my foot down, and her room will be PINK!! Pink walls, with butterfly wallies and some IKEA curtains with small butterflies. My plan is to go to the paintshop today, alone, and get the paint for her room...hehe. The master bedroom will be in white/silver colours...I'll sure post pictures when they are done decorated.

Last, but not least, I'm going to Stockholm on a business trip next week. I'll be back on friday...so we will hopefully start moving that weekend. I cant wait to move into our new home!!!!!!!!!

It's the 17'th of May today...Norway's national day. Since I didn't have the opportunity to celebrate this BIG day today...living in Sweden an all, I decided to post a picture of Norways future queen. Japp, this little baby will maybee be queen someday, if the government decide to change the stupid rule about allowing only male monarchs!

The custom is to go and see the big parade on the main street of Oslo. Then the royal family will stand on the balcony waiving to the people...its truly an amazing day. I wish I was in Oslo celebrating with my friends and family...having icecream, sausage and lots of beer =)

We went to my mums place last weekend to celebrate her birthday. And here we are...ready to go!

My mum and my little babe Smilla. Do you see her pink cammo pants??? I have a pair as well...so we match...haha. Mum was overjoyed to see us. We dont get to see her often...so she really misses Smilla. Oh well, now that we're getting a house she can come and visit us more often =)

Smilla and I at Aker Brygge. We had a nice lunch down in the harbour of Oslo before we went back to Sweden. This place rocks...the area has plenty of pubs, restaurants and good shopping. What more can a girl ask for???

Hello Kitty Along...

I'm still thinking and looking at what to make for the KAL. I've designed a knitted summertop for my daughter and a laaarge crochet beach tote..so those are done!! I just need to adjust the top for more sizes...maybee 1-6 years? I'll try to post the sketches tomorrow! I was thinking of designing a womans top as well...but I have to see if I have the time to finish it off. All the designs and adding the knitters/crocheters have to be done pretty soon...cause I'm moving on the 16'th of May to my new house...yippiii. So I guess that I have to start packing soon...for the second time this year...blaahhh!

Unfortunately, my internet connection at home is out of order so I haven't been able to answer any e-mails from the ones of you that wants to join. I'm hoping on getting it sorted out sometime this week, or next week at the latest. I'll post 'news' here at my blog when things have worked out...and my designs are done =)

My trip to Aalborg - Denmark

Ok...first my last two Hello Kitty items...its a handbag and a coin purse for my babe. But don't be surprised if you see me at the supermarket wearing the handbag =)

This is Marianne and me Friday evening after we just 'landed' in Aalborg. Mette (our hostess) made us a fab meal and then we had lots of wine..of course...haha

Mette...my old flatmate from Australia. Her apartment was just gorgeous!!!! She just has to help me out with decorating my new house!!!

Cathrine, Mette and I posing in one of the streets in the older parts of Aalborg city. We went shopping Saturday 'morning'. I managed to buy a pair of pink cammo pants, a white sweater, and two pair of shoes...despite a MAJOR headache =)

Saturday night...Marianne and Cathrine are having some more wine...we partied all night and didn't get home until 6 o'clock in the morning. My god...I'm not used to that anymore!!!!

And voila...this is me Saturday night after Marianne snagged my hair. I ended up with a fringe!!!

Hello Kitty Knitalong 2

Ok...I give in! It's time for the second Hello Kitty Knitalong, but this time its gonna be a Knochet Along..Knochet as in knit&crochet (why rule out one fun type of crafts when you can include two??) I've designed a summertop for my daughter, and I've got an idea for a women's sommertop, and then some handbags that could be fun to make. I'm thinking COLORFUL items for the summer =)

PS! Please don't tell my bf..he's gonna KILL me if he finds out that I'm hosting another KAL now! I guess the timing is really bad since we just bought a house (yiiipiii), meaning we'll have to pack and move all our stuff by the 16'th of May. Oh well..what he doesn't know won't hurt him =)

Anyways..I'll post more info about the Knochetalong (that sounds really cheesy doesn't it!!) as soon as I've figured out what to do/make and all that. Have a great weekend..I know I will..going to Aalborg for the weekend with my girlfriends and all!!!!

Lucky Clover progress..

This is my first piece of the Lucky Clover. I had to frog it twice before I got it ok...arrrghhhh! I started the two front pieces last night, thought I would knit them together at the same time. I've never done that before, but some people do it with the sleeves, to save the confusion of getting the inc and dec at the same places on two diferent pieces. I would love to have it done by Thursday...fat chanse...since I'm going to Aalborg i Danmark. I'm going to meet my old flatmate from Australia, and then two friends are coming over from Norway. We're gonna have so much fun...partying and shopping =)

I'm a shoe'aholic...and here are the last pairs I've bought. I really love my flowery clogs...I even found a pair for my babe, but they were to big for her. Anyways, she will look quite trendy with her new red Puma runners. She will look more trendy than her mother...cause I cant afford a pair for myself now =)

New Blog

I've been busy this Easter...not with knitting or crocheting...but making a new 'spring' layout for my blog. I also decided to change the name of my blog to Oslofia Stitching Away, since I do as much crocheting as knitting =)

Easter has been great. First I had a friend over from Oslo, and we went out partying on Friday. On Saturday we went with my daughter to an Easter parade...and she eat candy all day long! Then we had a 'fika' (brunch) at our place with our friends and their kids. On Sunday we went to my bf's parents summerhouse. He's brother with family was there as well, and we had plenty of easterfood (and lots of wine). We slept over and got home today.

Now its dinner time...before I can finally continue on my Lucky Clover...she's waiting for me!!!!!

Crochet butterfly handbags in two different sizes...designed by me. I'm going to sew on zippers but I don't think that I'll bother to line them. My DD has already kidnapped the yellow one...so that one is full of lego =)

I really like the butterflies...so they will probably also appear on some other designs that I'm planning on knitting and crocheting up!

Gift from my Nordic Secret Pal #2

I got this as a gift from my secret Nordic pal, Kristel, yesterday. I was stunned when I got it!!! She had sent gifts both to my daughter and to me: a colouring book, crayons and beads for Smilla...and then it was candles and Marimekko napkins for me. I just LOVE Marimekko!!! It's the best Finish design ever!!! And guess what? That day I was actually going to a kids shop in town to get my daughter som beads, but they didn't have any nice ones. And then we got all these nice things when we got home????

Lucky Clover knitalong

Hello Kitty Poncho

Here's the secret bonuspattern item for the Hello Kitty knitalong, which is a poncho with me modelling it tooo late last night..hehe. The picture is quite bad...but I'll try to post a better picture tomorrow. The bottom 'rows' has a pattern with hearts made up of purlknitting on stockinette knitting. I think that it could be nice to knit full white hearts as well, but I wanted a more plain poncho for me. The poncho is made up with thick wool, so it took like two evenings to make it. That's the beauty of thick yarn =)

It has been fun to do this project as well as hosting the knitalong. I will most defiantly do something like this again in the autumn =)
